The USDA wants to microchip and track every chicken or sheep you have-but industrial-ag producers will get group IDs for 1000s of animals. Read about this unbelievable government plan--and then contact your legislators! Farmers' opposition killed "NAIS" but no one thought it was really gone. The USDA resurrected animal ID under a new name, & the new plan is possibly worse than NAIS. As usual, small farmers will get the worst of it.

Randall Lineback Cattle--a landrace breed that originated in Vermont--are on the ALBC's list of critically endangered livestock breeds.
